Yet Another Day, Yet Another Shooting
At this point, why not just rename the AR15 “Death and Destruction” as that seems to be its primary function. Like so very many, I spent most of my evening yesterday scrolling Twitter instead of sleeping. I was looking for answers, I suppose, or maybe I just needed to know that I wasn’t alone with my sadness, anger and frustration. I know that millions of others share these views, and yet, being able to at least shout out into the void helped.
Or did it?
I’m not sure.
Because — NOTHING ever changes with regards to guns in this country.
What’s it going to take, America?
All of these relentless shootings, even if we are not directly involved, as individuals, has to have a toll on our mental and emotional psyche. Why is no one talking about that? Why aren’t our citizens taking to the streets and demanding gun reform? But, then for that matter, why should we? Meaning: so many other countries don’t have this problem; in fact, I would dare say the thought of even having the problem in the first place wouldn’t even occur to them.
For example: Finland.
Think about it.
