YES TO THIS!!!

Here's how all of this feels to me:

We are a nation of abused citizens.

What do abused people do?

They. Become. Afraid.

Too fearful to speak up and make their voices heard. Too worried that they will lose their lives for doing so. Too anxious of potential conflict. We are being abused. Daily. Weekly. Monthly.

As Ian Curtis once sang: "Where will it end? Where will it end?" I think we know. We all know. Admitting it though, "Aye, there's the rub"...
