Yes, it was extremely disheartening to read about Sean Penn's horrid treatment of her; I also think that she perhaps never quite recovered as I remember she said in an interview once that he was the love of her life so...perhaps she's been seeking out this kind of love ever since (her recent marriage)...

I think what's most disturbing is that as "a woman of a certain age" our society is in desperate need of strong confident sexy women who embrace ageing in a positive manner and so it really bums me out to see someone such as Madonna caving into that quest for "youthfulness" at all and any costs.

Let's hope that she once again realizes her own personal agency and unleashes it upon the world!
