Wow. This perfectly describes my most recent job experience. I was SO authentic and passionate that my new manager contrived ways to be rid of me. Such a toxic workplace although I’m sure I didn’t help myself when I said to her: “I’m not worried about getting a good reference from you because the former manager has already given me one” - and - my days there were numbered but it really was for the best.
