WOW I can SO relate to this as I recently experienced the ending of a decades long friendship via text message. I had asked if perhaps we could both take some time apart and meet up in the Spring to discuss issues; she “politely” declined and ended by saying that she would always present me as “Spectacular” to others - WTF? It’s REALLY messed with my head/heart especially as we BOTH referred to each other as “sisters” - granted we both said things that we shouldn’t have but now the dilemma is what do I do with the holiday/birthday presents we have for each other? Both our birthdays are in January. I have blocked her number because she effectively ended our friendship. So, I’m asking for advice on this. Do I still give her the gifts? Re-gift? Donate? She said if I sent her an email to please let her know so should I even respond? Thus far, ever since her message ending our friendship I have been totally silent. I truly don’t know what to do and would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you 💝
