“Who” is Nick Adams and “Why” Has He Infiltrated My Twitter Feed?

So, I have a Twitter account with the same name as this Medium account.

And, sometime last year, this guy started showing up on my feed and…I couldn’t quite figure out, based on his posts, if he was for “real” or if he was, in fact, some kind of strange parody account. I’ve discussed this with friends who are also Twitter users as well and honestly no one seems to know for sure. He posts almost hourly, it seems, and his posts are horrid displays of misogyny or ludicrous laugh out loud statements that sound very homoerotic (intended or not), such as touting his “foursomes” with the “guys” on the golf course, and statements about his important relationship with his butcher who “pounds his meat” — now, what conclusions is one to draw from these sorts of hyperbolic and seemingly absurd statements?

Is he, in fact, modeling himself after what Stephen Colbert did years ago?

Or is he, in fact, truly real and honestly believes the bile that he spews?

I have him muted on Twitter, but every once in a while, I’ll take a peek just to read the responses from others which are often quite funny (see above).

Oh, I should also mention that Nick Adams is a HUGE fan of Hooters and Hooters Girls and even once made a post suggesting that man take a woman…
