“What the World Needs Now is War, Sweet War”…

--

“It’s the only thing that there’s just…too little of…”

So, yet another war, it seems, is starting. As if everything weren’t already in a sorry state of affairs, now, there is this to contend with. I’m not really the “Armageddon” type but it’s REALLY starting to feel that way right now.

Hopefully, by this time next year, I’ll be in Europe. Hopefully, by this time next year, there won’t be a World War 3 taking place, but — I don’t know. No one does; more uncertainty looms yet again on the horizon. But one thing I DO know is that if the world is going to crash and burn (and maybe it should, not because I want it to, but rather because of the complete abject mess of our planet that us humans have made), I would rather be in a geographical locale that I love and surrounded by my friends — to go out in a blaze of glory.

I write often on this little blog of mine about love. That’s because for me, love is everything. Wars are fought for love (Helen of Troy, for an example), but more often that not, wars are fought for dominance and control. There is nothing good or worthwhile that ever comes out of a war, ever. Lives are lost.

And usually, at the end of it all, no one can ever really remember just “why” the war began or what even caused it. It saddens and angers me that, yet again, “humans” create catastrophe and wreak havoc — and actually, there is no real “creation” taking place but rather death, destruction and despair.
