West Virginia Just Got a Wee Bit Scarier…Or Is That an Oxymoron?

If you click on the above link, you will see what has unfortunately become an all-too-common theme: that of a white man, seemingly making some sort of VERY IMPORTANT POINT and doing so while pointing his finger.

Sigh. Don’t these people ever get bored with themselves? To quote from Dylan Thomas: “Somebody’s boring me, I think it’s me.” I am SO weary of this “pontificating” by middle aged men — all of the “lecturing” of them.

Seriously. Stop. It.

So, apparently the “Legislature” in all its infinite wisdom decided to pass this equally parts moronic and actually quite terrifying bill which I am fairly certain the “Governor” *cough ahem cough* will sign into law.

There’s a certain lack of emotional awareness with all of this, as it comes not too long after the recent shootings on the Michigan State University campus. Tone deaf, anyone? Hey, let’s pass a bill so we can “protect” students/faculty — REALLY? As in: SERIOUSLY? This must be a joke surely?

As a dear friend said to me about this: “Apparently, the state leaders won’t be happy until everyone with half a brain leaves WV and only MAGA hillbillies and meth heads are left” — is that harsh? Yes. Is it true?

Well…that’s subjective…

But I think most of us can agree that allowing guns on campuses is…umm.
