Vince -The Talented Graphic Design Artist

A sweet guy…

So, continuing on…lest anyone think that the men I have written about thus far had no negative aspects to them, please allow me to reassure that for each of the positive attributes listed, I could also equally list negative qualities as well; however, I made a very conscious decision NOT to do that, because what would be the point, really? I am working very hard on the inside of me to be a better person, a more enlightened person and dare I say, a more forgiving person too? And…it’s not easy, at all, to forgive those who have hurt you.

And, to also allow my own forgiveness of ME, too; in many ways, that is actually far more difficult. So — having said that, let me talk about Vince.

In looking back over my various relationships with others, it occurred to me, that quite by accident, I ended up dating former football players in high school and Vince is in this particular category; but he’s also incredibly artistically gifted and has a quiet, genteel and creative side to him, too.

He also has bipolar disorder for which he “sometimes” took medication and “other times” did not. This often led to fraught tensions within our relationship with each other — miscommunication — and hurt feelings.

We broke up and got back together several times and each time, I think we each hoped that it would somehow be “different” — it’s very difficult to let go of that desire and hope when you care deeply for someone I have noticed.
