This was “supposed” to be the “Hot Vax Summer” — now it’s just HOT”
But not in a good kind of way.
So, does anyone remember back in Spring of this year (just like last year) all the talk about a “hot vax summer?” The implication being, I guess, that we were all going to be having a FABULOUS time? And that the pesky and disruptive Covid would OF COURSE be a minor inconvenience at best? Yea, that didn’t exactly happen, did it? I mean, I suppose in a way it “kind of” did but still, it wasn’t anything near what we had all been told it WOULD be, right?! People still took vacations, including me, and braved the nightmarish aspects of crowded airports/planes for an ever so brief respite from it all.
We’re now halfway through July and our beautiful planet is crying out, screaming out, in agony, it’s pain to us. It’s saying: “We are burning.”
Having been to the UK several times, I have noticed that regardless of “when” I would visit in the past, the temperatures rarely, if ever, got above 80/85 degrees and that, in and of itself, was considered HOT. And now? Well…
