This was so beautifully written. I really felt as if I were there with you experiencing all of this myself. And all those years ago when I had my own breast biopsy I did experience it. You’re absolutely right. No one should ever have to suffer needlessly just because of medical bureaucracy. The procedure that you describe is similar to the one that I had, even down to the nurse, holding my hand as I cried from the pain. No one wants to do these things.
