This totally resonated with me. Doc Martens boots, flannel shirts, Winona Ryder. I’m still not sure I’ve ever fully recovered from the break up of Winona Ryder and Johnny Depp! For me, ultimately, it’s always been Molly, Ringwald and the John Hughes movies that I returned to time and again. There’s just something about them that captures that particular moment in time for us GEN Xers. I think perhaps it’s a sad fact of life, that each generation that rebels against the previous generation, ultimately ends up, becoming like the previous generation, in spite of all their best attempts to do otherwise.
