Since my undergraduate degree is in Comparative Literature, I love words, languages, alliterations — so, after reading this article I thought of this:

Chaos. Confusion. Cowardice.

The last time I checked — hmm — aren’t we all, as citizens of this grand noble experiment known as “democracy” (which is currently on life support)obligated to pay taxes for things like: city services — such as sanitation, fire/police fees? Um, yes, I think so. We pay them, yes?

Which then begs the question: WHAT exactly are we paying FOR?

If the “departments” which employ the individuals to do their “jobs” and then those individuals don’t do their jobs, well…I don’t know about anyone else, but I feel MUCH less inclined TO pay for services that I don’t receive; it only seems right and fair.
