Low-income Americans face a ‘hunger cliff’ as Snap benefits are cut | Food poverty | The Guardian

If reading the above doesn’t incite a certain incredulous rage, then I fail to understand that. In America, right now, this is currently happening.

“Land of the Free, Home of the Brave”…

Republicans want to cut SNAP benefits — even as 1 in 10 households are food-insecure — Vox

Of course they do. Republicans, I mean. Referring to the above article.

Does anyone ever feel that the Republicans are a modern day embodiment of “Scrooge” from the Charles Dickens novel? Or maybe multiply that by a thousand? It’s absolutely sickening to me. NO ONE should ever go hungry.

To quote from the above article, “It should shock the American conscience that in the wealthiest and one of the most agriculturally productive countries — awash in cheap food, no less — one in 10 households still live with food insecurity, a grim reality with which we’ve become startlingly comfortable. But hunger, as we learned during the pandemic and in its aftermath, is a policy choice.” Please note the last sentence in particular:
