Yes, we ARE all in the same boat, the sad thing is just that so very many people don't realize it.

To continue with this boat metaphor: remember how, when the Titanic went down, the musicians continued to play? And the rescue boats were almost all at only half the capacity they were built for? WHY didn't the people IN those boats turn around and go back and try to save their fellow human beings? They were afraid they would die, too
