Post Indictment Meal
So, yesterday was…uniquely bizarre in the way that only such things can be with “The Orange Buffoon” but honestly, how much of it was actually surprising? Not a lot, dare I say. No mugshot, which many of us, including myself, was looking forward to. No bail. No flight risk (apart from the obvious, how many other countries would even want him to darken their doorstep?) No cameras in the courtroom. In fact, the only way that anyone would actually know that the indictment took place would perhaps be in the equally surreal stop at the Cuban restaurant afterwards where the supporters gathered, and non-stop bellicose bellowing then took place.
Oh, and the man with the pig head on a stick. Yuck. Gross.
Let’s not even go there. At least Hannibal Lecter had a nice wine ;)
Back in the real world, of course, the majority of us would have had a VERY different experience at the courthouse yesterday. We all know that much.
At least, most of us do, anyway.
What remains to be seen is what happens now with everything.
Will anything actually come of this? We’ve been so close before, as a society, to calling this buffoon to justice and it has yet to prevail so…
We can only hope right now.
And do our best to avoid anyone with a pig’s head on a spike, of course.
