Oh my. How I wish I could say that I hadn't experienced what you just described here but I fear that many women have (and continue to do so). It's beyond frustrating, insulting and quite honestly, lazy behavior when a man can not even muster the ability to be engaged on any level other than himself. I also think too, remember the Virginia Woolf edict: "A room of one's own" for women writers. This is SO true, and I would also say applies to every aspect of a woman's life overall :)
