My Covid Experience — So Far, Anyway…
So, here I am…it’s been well over a week now since I first home tested myself for Covid — in fact, I am now coming up on a full two weeks time.
When I first tested, on New Year’s Eve, well — that certainly put a damper on the plans that I had to spend the weekend with a friend, watching movies and enjoying treats. The following week, January 6th, to be precise, was my birthday and even though still not feeling fully well, I did have a lovely birthday with flowers, gifts, text messages and phone calls from wonderful people in my life who love and care about me. It was a quiet day for me.
And yet, it was still really lovely to actively feel all the love expressed, too.
During this time, I’ve had time to do A LOT of thinking. I also let myself have some purely “escapist” fun too, by creating AI generated avatars of my visage which was both fun and slightly surreal, too…but, how I am feeling?
Well — I seem to be on the mend BUT I’m still having residual fatigue, some coughing, and congestion. The thing is, because I contracted the virus in the middle of tapering off my Klonopin, many of these symptoms can overlap so it’s often difficult to discern which issue is causing which symptom, or vice versa, if that makes sense. A bit of a double whammy.
