Like many others have shared, I also feel this in my day-to-day life. I do have wonderful friends, but some of them do not live close to where I currently am geographically. One commentor noted how this does not seem to be as much of a problem in Europe and I totally agree with that. I don’t really think that we have social networks in America. Not really. And the hustle of capitalism that relentlessly bears down on all of us certainly doesn’t help. I am planning to move from this country by the end of the year and one of my hopes is that I will experience not just a better quality of life, but actually feel more a part of a social community.
