Jibber Jab Jabberwocky
So, here we all are again (well, most of us, anyway)…Autumn is fast approaching which means, among the more delightful things — vaccines.
I spent part of yesterday morning trying to do just this — scheduling my various vaccines — my second shingles shot (for which I am already past due), the new RSV shot because I have mild asthma from allergies, the newest variation of the Covid shot (whenever that becomes available) and of course, the yearly flu jab.
Now, here’s the thing: I have been told by more than doctor that I seem to have the type of “physical chemistry” that renders my body to be more sensitive to the various side effects of vaccines — meaning: I can tolerate them (no known allergies) but I really FEEL the various side effects.
Naturally, I don’t like this because it means that, unlike others who sometimes receive different shots at once and apparently do just fine (I hate these people. JOKING! Kind of); I have to plan in advance and make sure I have enough food/medicine, etc and also schedule them in between different upcoming medical appointments so I have time to recuperate.
If all the above sounds exhausting, that’s because IT IS. For real.
