It feels to me that on a very basic level, the GOP opposes fun in any sort of real concrete way. Like yourself Umair, I’ve had nothing but fun and a joyous time being in a club with drag queens. They are wonderful people. They are kind people. They do not deserve the way they are being treated. This is all so scary. Does anyone in the GOP even possess the ability to laugh at themselves? It’s almost as if they’ve had any genetic component of fun, laughter and joyfulness removed from their body and their mind. It’s very sad.
