I’m currently living in the UK and I can really relate to so much of what you’re saying here. For me, especially, the friendships and relationships that I have left behind or that I feel very isolated from. It’s very sad to me. Given the recent US election result, another part of me is very relieved to be here. It’s definitely a mixed bag of emotions and even if some of it is good, there’s still a lot of pain and sadness inherent as well also.
