I totally agree with you! I have often felt this way myself for most of my life: that I was born in the wrong century - which for me could perhaps even be the 19th century! But yes - manners, civility and a certain gentility is very much missing from our current culture. As far as clothing from the 50’s/60’s goes: every single episode of The Marvelous Mrs Maisel has me sighing with longing for absolutely every single dress worn. They’re STUNNING.
