I totally agree with you about this and I was heartened to see that someone else feels the same way, too. I DO understand (I think) that it's meant in an almost kind of sarcastic astonished "Can you believe this" kind of way BUT for me, it very much diminishes the overall effect and impact of what he is trying to put across.

Because it "reads" as if what he's saying is NOT to be taken seriously when it is, in fact, the very opposite of that. I just am really starting to find it to be both very predictable and also very grating in a way. But maybe that's just me; however, if Umair does actually read these comments, then please take it down a notch with all the LOL's.

As The Smiths sang "That joke isn't funny anymore. It's too close to home and it's too near the bone, more than you'll ever know"...
