Happy Holi-Daze

Isn’t the above just SO very pretty?!! I think that it is, for sure.

I always love learning new things. “Knowledge” is never ending and each time I discover something or someone, in this case, that I wasn’t aware of, I become excited and feel my horizons expand. It’s a wonderful way to be.

In this instance, I learned of the artist and illustrator Vladimir Bobri from a dear friend who sent me this vintage Christmas card from the archives of the work of this wonderfully talented and gifted beyond measure artist:

I am in love with this period of time — just before the holidays.

I am in love with it because, all too briefly, we remember our shared humanity. We show those that we love and care about our feelings through lovely cards, phone calls, visits…presents too, yes, but even more than that, it’s a palpable sense that, “love is abounding” everywhere all around us.

I read a beautiful article on here yesterday about how “lights” and the illumination that we receive from them, can have such symbolic meaning.

Perhaps that is why I have “fairy lights” strung around my bed, and why I always make sure that I have candles and anything that can illuminate.

The path forward is through light shining its way.

If only we can see it. If only we can feel it. If only we can BE it.

Because: “There is a light that never goes out” (The Smiths).
