Fun Friday Time with the Animals

Because all we need is LOVE

So, I don’t know about anyone else, but this particular week has been rather hellish for me for a variety of reasons…mostly having to do with incompetence and ineptitude that, in addition to the OTHER plagues/pandemics that are currently surrounding us, this very real ineptness and incompetence seems to be yet another engulfing our society and culture.

Meaning this: I know that everyone (or most people) are struggling in differing manners so I realize that I am far from alone in this particular thing.

BUT, does it seem to anyone else that basic things and services and people are almost loathe to do their actual jobs? I mean, I totally can get that, as it’s how I felt about my now former job; rather, here’s an example of what I am speaking of with regards to this: I was trying to reach someone at an agency, repeatedly (and very politely) emailed and was receiving no response. I then reached out to the “Supervisor” ( yes, “air quotes”) because he and I had bonded over our shared love of all things Smiths related (the UK band)…his response to me:

“I’ll text Makayla and remind her to respond to your email”…now, think about that statement for a second. An employee is having to receive a text message from their boss to “remind” them to “respond” to an email — WTF???

I can’t speak for anyone else of course, but I know that if I had ever NOT responded to an email from someone at any of my previous jobs, it would have gotten me into…
