Closing the Circle…
This is my life right now — closing the circle(s) and to borrow a phrase from my not too distant new home in the UK, “Mind the Gap” — in other words, I’m trying to both embrace change while at the same time drawing a line under certain events and relationships. It’s not easy, at all, and in fact, it’s often quite painful and ultimately bittersweet, as well. Feelings, emotions.
Memories — of what once was and now no longer is. Visions — of a future that is unknown but hopeful. It’s definitely a balancing act, with all this.
I’ve been applying to various schools in the UK that will hopefully enhance my previous educational background and also help to propel me into a professional field more aligned with my passions, such as museums.
To that end, it’s a bit nerve wracking to apply and then wait for a decision.
And in some cases, the applications have been deferred to the following year as I’ve missed the deadline dates for 2024; however, there’s something about the action of just applying, of going through the process of it all.
Drawing lines in the sand. Dotting my “i’s” and crossing my “t’s” as it were.
