Interesting tidbit: whenever my British friends are asked “why” I want to move there (especially with Brexit) they just say “Guns” and say that the other people immediately GET IT nod their heads, their eyes light up and they say: “Oh gosh that’s right of course” - that’s one of the main reasons to leave this country - for all the reasons you described. No one should EVER be afraid to grocery shop for fear of being gunned down. It’s utterly reprehensible.
